the night works its magic on eyelids
contained within skin the rage of thousands
wander the burnt plains for reason
summoned rain blood flows instead
from light into the absolute city grey
smashed droplets against train windows
tame the noon blaze into submission
cloud coast cities raised to the celestials
burnt barriers the pulse quickens
