This is good. We’re talking Lao Tsu good. A diminutive masterpiece that punches above its weight. I am a lover of image-heavy poetry. I aim for it as well, along with an active voice. Mostly. (“They mostly come at night. Mostly”–Alien reference.) You are the first writer whose work I check on here on WordPress. You inspire me to transcend the prosaic and entertain thoughts of myth, magic, archetypes.
You give me a sense of place with your micro-seasonal observations of the wildlife you encounter.
I go for images and senses and aim to express Matrix-adjacent thoughts.our Speaking our thoughts, aggressive, subversive, and spiritual in a way that puts me in mind of a combination of Jack Kerouak and days of heraldry as revived by games with 12-sided dice.
The poet speaks words that are symbolic or chosen for sound–mellifluous or cacophonous–and which explore unpopular, taboo, unexpected, impolite and novel subjects.
This endeavor enlarges the world. #KeepWordpressWeird
