spring in the absence of color the world becomes more intimate
in the presence of ash and dust the winds grew to love death
brackish streams of dusk filled with the deadliest designs
as if each spring’s leaf knew of its falling
our pleas answered in rain putting out flesh fires
teatime how this flesh craves the silence
the spring forest invites you to consume its solitude
and that is what sets the forest apart from humankind it shows no mercy
spring at dusk the god of clouds playing tricks on mortal eyes
