late noon the greying world comes alive in the rain
watching the mud wasp rush between nest and oblivion
interrupted the call of the deep river beyond glass towers
grim visions of the divine untouched by lustful eyes
spring the river is wary of the ways of flesh
dust and scorn in the wake of the new moon night
spring the spider under the rock will tell you of the secret lives i’ve lived
a problem of bare bodies where do i start upon this map of flesh
will you sit and sin and hum with me until the pain passes
