the yellow haze hangs over the autumn river gazing into her depths
the rather interesting conversation of warped trees, shadows and dusk crows
the ghastly groans of the joints I once knew
mindless fantasies playing in the background just another day in my mind
like toddlers we flounder in the sand hoping this day wouldn’t end
outside these walls i can hear the city the insatiable beast’s moans
pluck thoughts from thin air and serve them on a silver platter
the awkward silence in the air trying to read shallow minds
home for a little while until night steals us
