spring the landscape barely remembers our touch
herein lies the cosmos the universe unfiltered unexplored
feels good to remember this drizzle on dark skin
bark of birch made soft again by the cold winds of dawn
a gathering of hands to fan the fires of spring
shadow on skin only the sleepless know the peace of night
come dawn we are but a society of shadows and shells
sit and be still the river grey consumes our grief
dark clouds unveil the shy stars one at a time
