cherry winds at dawn
dreams devoured we curse the summer heat
blessed be the tongue that drips crimson in battle
departing souls board the ferry at forest edge
waking concrete ghosts loud funeral music
where the rain cannot go darkness fills the space
how solemn and tired the face of night
cat shadow headbutts door and lets the night in
annoyed cat shadow hisses at a stray grey wind
