dream dawn walking down flooded corridors
first day of summer the coffee teases
picks itself up and transcends summer soul
drain the spice into the darkest veins
beneath a fake tree a commune of fake smiles
the mood struggles to keep afloat cold noon
rainfall this body wakes again
slips a hand into the past last day of spring
